About the Journal
Focus and Scope
This is an annual periodical publication of the linguistic society of america containing papers developed from talks and posters presented at its Annual Meeting, which is one of the premier gatherings of researchers from America and around the world working on issues in linguistics and language science representing a wide range of theoretical and methodological perspectives.
Peer Review Process
Abstracts for talks and posters selected for presentation at the Annual Meeting of the LSA undergo double-blind peer review, using a review system that is currently operating outside of OJS. Authors whose abstracts are selected for presentation are invited after the conference to submit an article that presents the conclusion(s) and claim(s) of their research, as stated in the accepted abstract. The articles themselves do not undergo further peer review, although the editorial team reserves the right to ask for revisions and to reject submissions for good reason.
Open Access Policy
This publication provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. There is no charge to either readers or authors. If you like this service of the Linguistic Society of America, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the scientific study of language, please initiate or continue your membership or donate to the Open Access fund.
Proceedings of the Linguistic Society of America (PLSA), which presents full-text articles based on talks and posters from the Annual Meeting of the Society, starting in 2016, continues the LSA Annual Meeting Extended Abstracts (ISSN: 2377-3367; DOI: 10.3765/exabs), which contains extended abstracts from the meetings from 2010 through 2015.
