Based on a concrete proposal for the semantics of vague quantifiers few and many suggests unspecified parameters which are hard to assess by introspection, we argue for the potential value of data-oriented computational modeling. We demonstrate how semantic values can be estimated from experimental data and a probabilistic model of language use.Downloads
